When it comes to the financial aspect, Slavia has shown this year that they are a force to be reckoned with. In addition to offering Scek a fantastic contract (some say $3 million per month), they have also acquired another interesting player. Aside from Horeš, Hovorka, and Yusuf, the Sixers managed to complete the transfer of Nikolaje Stanciu, who showed in Sparta that he is an excellent player by national standards.
A great asset is the breadth of the team. The team has few weaknesses. It clearly outscores most of its opponents, and if Slavia fails to win, it is largely deserved. Its greatest boast is its midfield. As already mentioned, Slavia managed to keep their key player Soucek. Next to him was the experienced Husbauer, and Alex Kral, who is becoming a major player after moving from Teplice, has been vocal about his association with foreigners. Ševčík was very good, Masopust was on the edge of the midfield, and the two players were very good in the middle of the park. And let\’s not forget Zumljar. At first glance, Stoch\’s departure may seem conspicuous, but with the addition of Stanciu, Slavije showed that they know what they are doing.
Let\’s look at the negative aspects. First is the stopper situation.
Ngadeu and Deli have created an impregnable wall in the middle of the defense. Simon Deri has already left for Bruges, and there is speculation that Ngadeu may have decided to leave as well. If this were to happen, it would be a truly noticeable loss for Slavia. The club\’s management acted quickly and began looking for a defender similar to Deri. They are said to have scouted Isaac Donkor from Craiova, Romania, and are reportedly preparing to sign a stopper similar to Thomas Sucek in order to avoid Ngadeu\’s departure.
The second drawback is the top striker position. Skoda is getting older, Tekle is coming off a serious injury, and van Buren has proven to be better as a bench joker.
